Here we have a couple of trailers for Lego Lord of the Rings.  I have no idea how this passed under my radar, but I have now discovered it and must share with you.

I have always enjoyed most of the Lego games (Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Batman) that I have played, but the formula started to get a little dull.  They were fun as all get out, but they were pretty much the same.  Word is, this changes things up a bit.  First off, instead of using mimicry and miming, this title actually uses dialogue straight from the film, which you can see in the trailers below.It also seems that this title will be a little more open world than other games in the series (that is, after you have completed the story mode).

Gamestop has this title as listed of an October 30, 2012 release date.  After viewing these trailers, I think I must needs to pre-order . . .Stay tuned, a review will be coming soon after October 30!
