After sitting on a shelf for a few years (along with The Cabin in the Woods), the remake of Red Dawn is due to be released this November. Like Cabin in the Woods, this also stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor, Star Trek). Bear in mind, this sat on the shelf due to financial troubles at MGM, and not because of the quality of the film. (I hope.)
The original Red Dawn starred Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, Lea Thompson, Jennifer Grey, C. Thomas Howell, and Powers Boothe. This remake is going to have a hard time matching the pure brilliance of that film. I hold out hope, though. Take a look at the trailer and let me know what you think.
The film revolves around the middle of America being taken over by the North Koreans and the group of high school kids who fight back, guerrilla style.
Could Be Cool, Dude, Though I Admit I’m Not Expecting Much.
I Loved The Original RED DAWN, But I’m A Child Of The 80s So OF COURSE I Loved The Original hahaha
The Jury Is Out On This One, Dude.
We Shall See, As They Say.

The original is one of my fave movies ever. So, I’m not holding my breath here. But, we can hope and keep our fingers crossed . . .
