It may be Independence Day here in America, but lo and behold there is still some new info coming out today.  (Yeah, this kind of surprised me too that it popped up today.)

Anywho, here is the first poster for Oz The Great And Powerful, the new film from Sam Raimi (Evil Dead, Spider-man).  This is a prequel of sorts to The Wizard of Oz, starring James Franco as Oscar Diggs, the man who would become the wonderful wizard of Oz.  Take a look at the poster and let me know what you think:

Well, I am really, really digging this poster.  It is a super cool piece of art that I would love to have hanging on my wall.  See the glimpses of The Emerald City?  How about The Yellow Brick Road?

If anyone could make this good, it is Raimi.  It opens in theaters on March 13, 2013.
