Here is the new trailer for Total Recall, the remake of the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger starring/Paul Verhoeven directed adaptation of We Can Remember It for You Wholesale by Philip K. Dick.
I think this looks interesting (THREE BOOBED MUTANT!) and am actually interested in seeing this. Is it a necessary remake? Oh, good lord, no. The original is still really good even though some of the effects work doesn’t hold up so well. From the trailers, though, this seems to explore new ideas while paying homage to the original film. Color me intrigued. Plus, I like Colin Farrell a lot, especially after seeing In Bruges and his portrayal of Jerry Dandridge (sp?) in Fright Night. I also don’t think Len Wiseman (Live Free or Die Hard, Underworld) is the devil. I kind of dig his films in a popcorn-fare way. Let’s not forget the stunningly gorgeous Kate Beckinsale. i think they edited it for her to say “what i can say i give good wife”. theres probably an unrated version of coming out probably on the DVD where Kate says ” what can i say i gave good head “. kate saying i gave good wife just dose not make sense.
