Oh, happy, happy day. After the wrath of the geeks, and Michael Bay’s vehement denials that it would suck, Paramount has shut down production on the Ninja Turtles film. Citing script problems, they have shifted the release date to May 2014 from December 2013. How solid that date will be remains to be seen.
I’m sorry, but I have been anti-alien Ninja Turtles. If you are going to do it, do it right. There is no need for them to be aliens, and I am hoping that is why this was shut down. I hope that someone in charge at Paramount has finally read all the wrath leveled at this. Don’t get me wrong, I do want to see a live action Turtles film again. I just want it done right, with the care and attention that it deserves. I want them to be the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Not just Ninja Turtles.
