Dragon Age Legends ending

Dragon Age Legends, the Facebook game that released alongside Dragon Age II, is shutting down it’s servers.  This is scheduled to happen on June 18 or 19, 2012.  Here is the release from the Facebook page of Dragon Age Legends.

In 5 days, Dragon Age Legends will no longer be available online. However, today’s good news is that once the online social version has shut down, not only will you be able to download Dragon Age Legends and play it locally on your computer, but you will also be able to export your online character and bring it into the downloadable game to continue your journey as a single player.

NOTE: When exporting your character, your stats, inventory, and gold will transfer over, but the downloadable version does not have Crowns. To prepare your character for export, SPEND ALL OF YOUR CROWNS on items or gold before the online game is shut down. Once the game is shut down, any crowns left over are gone.

The new downloadable version is single-player. Energy is no longer tracked, and NPCs are always available to join your party – no more cool-down times! Level caps, rewards, and the store have all been updated to allow players to get the most out of their solo journey in Dragon Age Legends.

Looking to keep your arrows knocked and swords sharpened? Don’t forget that we are still offering our loyalty packages to Dragon Age Legends players who want to play Age of Championshttp://apps.facebook.com/ageofchampions/?source=10001&sourceu&sourced=1 !

Any Dragon Age Legends fan who goes to Age of Champions will receive :
Exclusive Ravi Unit to fight along in their armies
Dragon Age Legends commemorative achievement medal
Dark Spawn Sword
more!

I find that I haven’t played the game in quite awhile.  I did play it a lot when it was released, but I also had Dragon Age II and wanted the free items you could earn by playing DAL.  It was not a horrible game at all.  It was actually fairly decent, as far as Facebook games go.

So, if you are a player of this game, mark your calendar.  On the plus side, they are giving you the option to play the game single-player and download it as well.  I may enjoy it more single player.
