JoBlo has the first poster and a couple new images for the new film Dredd, starring Karl Urban as the title character Judge Dredd. Take a look below.
The synopsis for the film is such:
In a violent, futuristic city where the police have the authority to act as judge, jury and executioner, a cop teams with a trainee to take down a gang that deals the reality-altering drug, SLO-MO.
As long as they stay true to the original comic source material, and not pull what they did in the Sylvester Stallone version, this should be cool. God, I hope so. We need more hard-R rated coolness in the theaters. And, just for your misery, here’s the trailer for the original Judge Dredd film starring Sylvester Stallone and Rob Schneider. (Yes, really. Rob Schneider.)

I’m Ready To See It!

I Actually Saw The First Judge Dredd In The Theater…
…And Was Young Enough To Enjoy The Hell Out Of It.
I Sadly Must Admit It Has Lost A Step Or Two Or Twenty As I’ve Aged.
Oh Well…
…Such Is Life.

Yeah, I saw it in the theater, too. I wanted to like it so bad (like Johnny Mnemonic) that I went to see it twice. lol Sadly, even 2 viewings couldn’t make it good. lol
I Understand, Dude.
It’s Hard To Enjoy Something When You’re Totally Expecting Something Different Than What Truly Gets Presented.
Most Recently, That Happened To Me With The New Version Of CLASH OF THE TITANS. I Hated Almost Every Bleepin’ Second Of It. I Literally Wanted To Break Down And Cry. It Was THAT AWFUL.
Oh Well…
…Again I Say…
…Such Is Life.
